Using photoshop
Whilst producing my different pages of my magazine, I found out how to download and use different brushes in order to further the grungy look I was trying to achieve. I used these brushes in PhotoShop on a transparent background and then placed them into InDesign in my articles. Here are some of the brushes I used.

Plans for contents page
Again, after analysing the contents pages of the main competitors of my magazine FEEDBACK, I have composed a few rough ideas of how to layout my contents page. Again, I have tried to incorporate similar elements used throughout the magazine but in the style and layout I wish to use. Here are the computerised versions...
The main competitors of FEEDBACK 2
This is another slideshow I created, however this time analysing the contents of some of the main competitors for my magazine FEEDBACK. The main competitors include; MOJO, Kerrang and Q.

Different mastheads
As I wasn't very experienced in InDesign when first trying out ideas for the masthead of my magazine, I decided to try out some more ideas out. I learnt how to download different fonts from the internet, using www.dafont.com,
and tried out some more
ideas.

I have used the same colour scheme throughout all
my masthead ideas as I decided on the colour scheme through linking it with the colours in the images I want to use. After trying out the different mastheads, I decided to make mine simply black and white, as for forthcoming issues it will be easier to link with the colours used in the main images. This is my final masthead. (i've put it on a black background so you see the stroke)

Edits
After going through the photos I took of my first mode;, I picked out a few to edit to put aside to possibly use on my front cover/main article. When editing them (using PhotoShop) I was experimenting a lot because of my lack of experience in using the programme. During this process, I got used to using the programme and was able to create a few decent edits.

This is another image from my shoot that I have edited. Again, the image was edited in similar ways at the first image. I used the dodge to create a vignette effect and the history brush in order to create contrast between her hair and the rest of the image. (Click the original again for annotations)
And this is the image after the editing.
Another image from the shoot I have edited. I have left the colour in the iris of eyes. I don't like this edit very much.
Fourth image I have edited. I like this one the best out of the edits so I might use it for my front page as it is the only of the four I have edited with a large area of colour. (Click original for link to flickr with annotations)
Plans for front cover
These are my original plans for the layout of the front cover. I originally sketched them up and have transformed them into a computerized version in order to upload them onto my blog easily. They are quite similar as most of the front pages I have analyzed have extremely similar elements and I have tried to incorporate these elements into my designs.
